So you want to buy an RV awning? Not sure what to ask the salesman as you peruse their wide range of RV Awnings? Here’s a short checklist that you should take note of if you want to make a new addition to your pride and joy today!
The first thing you should look out for is durability. You certainly do not want your RV awning to collapse at the most inopportune time. Talk to your sales assistant and ask for a model that is safe to use and he will most likely recommend a retractable awning. It is considered one of the longer lasting awnings in the industry.
Next you may want an awning that will be easy operate. Bring your family along before you make a final decision because you will want them to try operating the awning to see if they can do so without difficulties. Ideally do get an awning that does not come attached with knobs or latches to lock it in place.
Lastly do get an awning that will complement your RV nicely. The last thing you want is to match your beautiful RV with a tacky looking awning. Good luck in choosing the best RV awning for your precious motor home!

Going for a family holiday in Spain can be exciting seeing that Spain is a wonderful country with a different culture and lifestyle. Spanish has the sun, the beach and the historical sites for you to explore during your visit so it should be a memorable holiday rather than a dull and boring holiday.
No one goes on a holiday without the proper preparation especially booking for holiday villas. There are many villas in Spain for you to choose. Consider getting a large villa to accommodate everyone in your family, if you have a bog family. Going on a family holiday can either make or break the whole holiday trip but with some time and patience, you can get things right.
You might want to check out the villas in the Algarve if you are visiting the town. The next thing you need to take care of it the flight tickets. If you are going during peak season, expect the ticket price to be soaring high. Although it is best to go on a holiday during non-peak season but let’s face it, it is impossible for everyone to go on holidays during non-peak season so if you want to go, you will need to sacrifice. Make sure you have the budget to go on a holiday.
I have just got off the phone with Palmer and Parker and have booked myself into a lovely villa in none other than Barbados!
No, the purpose of this post is not to make all of those individuals visiting the UK jealous, it’s just to let everyone know about the fantastic deal I have got! I have booked into a private villa for my trip. This will be my first time experiencing a private villa as opposed to the usual mix of hotels I’ve stayed in over the past 10 years. I think by having a villa it will give me some much needed relaxation time. I am travelling alone this time also which might mean I have the chance to do some writing. I have been meaning to for a while now.
If anyone else is considering a holiday, I strongly advise you to check out Palmer and Parker - they provide a range of high quality villas in a number of difference locations around Europe and the res of the world. I am also considering booking up one of their St Lucia Holiday Villas also for next year. I have always wanted to go there as I am sure most of you have too!
We all love our holidays and the credit crunch shouldn’t stop us doing what we love! So how can we get a cheaper holiday? Luckily, flight costs are actually getting cheaper these days, it’s just the accommodation that is becoming more and more expensive. So consider self catering holidays for your next trip. For the most part, self catering holidays tend to be something you do within your own country, but you shouldn’t be limited to that. Most countries these days, especially the cities offer lots of private, holiday apartments for low cost rental, much cheaper than a hotel which you can lease for a weekend, week or more and have the added privacy also. There are also lots of tour operators who are pushing their self catering packages due to people being a little strapped for cash. You can often find a cheap flight and apartment or self catering hotel package, particularly online. For the most part, people who book full board accommodation these days tend to not make full use of it anyway. Who wants to eat in the same place 3 times a day whilst on holiday? I certainly don’t. For your next trip, save some money and enjoy your holiday a lot more at the same time.
If there is one destination that has been popular with tourists from the United Kingdom for the past 3 decades, it’s Spain. The low cost flights (and coach journeys) coupled with cheap hotels, cheap beer and sandy beaches have proved a top draw from tourists all over the UK. Spain, like most European countries has lots of offer, regardless if you’re just looking for a beach or something more cultural.
What is particularly niche to see these days is more and more tourists treating Spain and the people who inhabit the country with a lot more respect. Many tourists are now taking the steps to learn spanish with a view of holding conversations with the locals in their native tongue as opposed to simply being an ignorant tourist who expects everyone around them to speak English - regardless of which country they’re in.
I personally feel that Spain will never lose its appeal to the UK tourist, mainly because of the distance it is from the UK coupled with its diverse culture. It will always be popular. If more and more UK travellers begin to learn spanish also, the locals in Spain will welcome UK tourists for many years to come.
For most travellers in the UK, when considering a luxury destination, we often thing of somewhere further East such as Indonesia or the Maldives, but what about Cuba? I know in the past that Cuba has had a bad image, particularly 10 - 20 years ago, but it has improved vastly over the past few years to become one of the most popular tourist destinations for UK travellers.
Flights from the UK to Cuba are not as expensive as its Asian counterparts which is also proving to be a huge selling point, especially in the current financial climate. Cuban Holidays are always extremely luxury, mainly due to the climate the the countries landscapes but the big draw is the hotels. The hotels in Cuba are absolutely amazing and all appear to be perfectly located on and around the countries extremely luxurious sandy beaches.
Cuba is also a great base to start your trip if you’re looking to explore other islands or south America itself. Many tourists fly into Havana, spend a few days there and then island hop elsewhere.
I can assure you that Cuba will be one of top holiday destinations for UK travellers in 2009.
Due to cheap air travel these days, when most of us start planning a trip to Europe, the first thing we do is book or at least research the flight cost. But, have you considered driving over to France from the UK or even taking a coach / bus? It is well know that France has some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe and what better way to see it than driving through the wonderful countryside? Of course, flying is extremely practical as a flight to most places in France is less than 2 hours - but consider what you’re missing by just flying in an out? A beach is a beach wherever you are in the world. Too truly experience France and make your France Holiday one to remember, you need to take your time and see the sights.
By driving yourself, you can also visit more than one city / region or resort on your way which can often make your trip much more exciting. Self catering holidays in general are extremely popular in France, but self catering in many hotels, apartments and places throughout your trip is truly an experience to be remembered.
If you’re visiting France, make sure you see France.
At this time of year, walking down the high street, you will no doubt see all kinds of weird and wonderful offers from the travel agents. Winter breaks in general is big business, with some major destinations doing most of their business during the winter months. With so much choice for winter breaks, especially when travelling from the UK, we have to ask ourselves, where exactly is the best place to catch some much needed winter sun? When most people think of a winter on the beach, they think of Spain. Even through the temperatures aren’t that great when compared to destinations in Asia for example, they’re still a lot better than the UK. The South of Spain particularly. Another popular destination is the Faro region of Portgual. The Algarve is an extremely popular holiday destination at any time of the year, but in winter in particularly. Many Brits have purchased apartments and villas in the region and often flock there for the winter months. Of course, you don’t need to own your own villa to visit The Algarve this winter. Villas in The Algarve are often sub let by their owners to tourists, particularly out of season at a very reasonable price. Villa Holidays in The Algarve are becoming more and more popular, especially as more and more properties are bought up with a view to let to tourists.
